Google’s Second Commercial Ever, Perhaps?
From Tech Crunches MG Siegler: During their Search event today, Google’s Marissa Mayer highlighted the fact that the search giant ran their first real commercial this year during the Super Bowl. If they choose to run a second, I think they have it. Later in the event, Mayer introduced a clip they put together using Bob Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues” music video. It’s a smart idea...

Unboxing the Audi Q5
I like the old school feel of the spot, the track is awesome, mixed with the stop animation/CG production in a room that is quintessentially Audi. Says we are not boxy and stiff, we are cool and laid back - Audi can get away with this easily due to their impeccable image of technology and performance. Has a sense of humanity and humility that was unexpected from this company and strayed from...

BMW R7 locked away in a box since WWII
Issue #3 of BMW Motorcycle Magazine showcases the amazing R7 concept, describing it as “one of the most important, innovative and visually stunning motorcycles ever produced.” Although this BMW is over 70 years old, it could almost be a contemporary concept. It was shelved as WWII approached, and put in a box. In 2005, that box was opened, and BMW Classic started the restoration. There’s...
Kooky's Return - Feature Film from Animata Design
From the surreal minds that brought us Machinarium (uber cool additive game) and Samorost (Jakub’s thesis project in 2003, also epic.) comes this delightful tale. The story of a child’s lost teddy bear and his journey home. It is a feast for the eyes and mind, a mix of live action and puppeteering sure to impress. The film was written and directed by Jan Svěrák, with production design...

Doritos - Guitar Hero Alan
Brilliant storytelling from AMV BBDO, London and Doritos. The tale of Alan and his longing to become a rock star. Although he is horribly unsuccessful through the years, redemption comes in the form of an epic living room performance in front of his mom - one part sad, two parts devil horn. Enjoy. How fast is Google Chrome?
Pretty damn fast as showcased brilliantly by Bartle Bogle Hegarty in their latest web film that pits the browser against a potato gun, sound waves and lightning. The tests were captured by two high-speed cameras, the 2700 frame-per-second Phantom v640 and the Phantom Gold, which shoots at 1000 fps. The edit is both interesting, witty and funny. Anyone can make the world a better place. VW set out to show people just how to do that by creating some really cool onsite activations such as a set of stairs that acts as a piano, a garbage can that makes it fun to throw away trash instead of littering. They then asked the general public for ideas on the very same thing. Some of the entires are really inventive and fun, the winner might have...
